Wedding God I’m not sure…

Well I’m not sure I am a wedding god, but it sure is nice to get such a great review from a Bride and Groom.

This was posted on Wedding Wire, it means so much that they think we did such a great job.

“We looked at every single indoor reception facility in San Antonio that holds over 300 people for a seated dinner and the Gunter was the last one we saw. The minute we walked into the ballroom, I knew it was where we were going to have the wedding. The coordinator Stacy is a wedding god in San Antonio and there is no one with more knowledge and expertise to help you every step of the way. Stacy takes SO much pride in her work and is there for you no matter what you need, she and her staff are fantastic and will treat you and your guests like kings, they certainly did for us. The food is so delicious and we had guests tell us it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. Perfect stars from a very particular bride!”

Sometimes Smaller is better…

I had the pleasure of being a part of a small intimate wedding this weekend. About 40 people attended the ceremony and reception here at the hotel. It was a very special wedding. The bride and groom had known each other for 16 years. They dates in High School and recently got back together.

The thing I enjoyed most about this couple was that they didn’t care about all the fuss of what was trendy and what was not. They made decision based on what they wanted. The whole affair was planned in less than a month.

I left Saturday feeling nostalgic for a simpler time, but hey all weddings are fun no matter what. They all also have their own special twist. It is why I love doing weddings so much. You never know what is going to happen next.

On to the next event…
I love my Job.

and another…

nice note. Another truly beautiful wedding from March and this is what they had to say.

“I can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you did! Our wedding was absolutely amazing!!”

Few Words…

but they mean the world to us here.

This is the nice email I just received from my March 14th wedding.

“Also we very much enjoyed the reception and our stay at the Gunter. Thanks for making it such a special day for us.”

That is what it is all about. Making their dreams come true.

New Friends

One of my favorite things about helping people with their special day is all the new friends you make. Not only do you get to know other vendors but you also make lasting relationships with your clients.

This past weekend Alison and Greg were married. I truly believe we will become great friends. Their wedding was so much fun. They had about 70 people and it was the perfect size of people to share in their day. They had their ceremony at La Villita and their reception was in the Bluebonnet Magnolia room at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel.

I also worked with some of my vendor friends also. Laurie with Goen South was there and also Norma with The Last Straw Florist did the flowers. Cathy Young did the cake and Sylvia Hampsten was the coordinator. Every weekend is like a reunion and we get to catch up all over again.

What a great Day

So Thrilled. I always Knew…

I always knew that our Bluebonnet Magnolia Room could look this good. It is one of my favorite rooms that we have. We had an absolutely georgous wedding in there on March 14th.

I also worked with some of my favorite wedding professionals. I Do! Wedding Consulting and Botanika for the florals. The bride wanted “Bling” Everywhere and boy did she get it.

Love knows no bounds

I had the pleasure last night to be apart of something so special everyone there knew.

Carla and Steve had waited 10 years for this special day their story was meant to be. Carla and Steve had worked together 10 years agao. He knew he was going to marry her. But as fate would have it, it was meant to wait. Fast forward many years and Steve just could not forget Carla. He emailed an old address that she didn’t really use anymore to see what she was up to. Turns our she decided to check that old email for the heck of it.

So now they are married. One of the absolute cutest couples ever (of course I say that to all I have the pleasure of being a part of).

It reminded me of my husband and how much the day to day comes in and you forget sometimes what love is all about. On nights like these I go home and tell him that I love him even more.

What a great story. I am so glad I ahd the pleasure of being a part of it.

March in like a Lion

I am very excited that March is here. It will be one of our busiest wedding months ever. We have the pleasure of working with 7 different brides and their families this month. Some of my absolute favorite people. I enjoy getting to know all of my brides it is kind of sad for me to see them married and go on with their blessed married lives. I miss them.
But life goes on and I always have great brides to work with.
I had the opportunity on February 21st to work with a great new company in town Max Lounges. They have this really cool lounge furniture that just looks great anywhere. They donated the lounges for an event for the Guide Dogs of Texas here at the Sheraton Gunter. They looked awesome in our space. Thank you Enrique.

Wow this Blog Thing is Cool

Well for those of you that are used to the whole blog thing bare with me.

I think this blog thing is really cool and can’t wait for people to read the blog.

This is going to be about everything wedding. Specifically at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel. But not all. Anyone feel free to ask questions about anything wedding.

I will post about the weddings here at the hotel and also any tips and trends I might have along the way. We will also have guest bloggers once in awhile. I’m sure my lovely catering admin will love to get on here and blog about her experiences as well. She was not hired until after she was married. Of course her reception was here at the hotel.

Thank you for reading and keep in touch.

Stacy
